While speaking during the daily 2:00pm press conference Dr. Amy Acton said that our social distancing efforts are indeed working and the number of new cases per day is significantly lower than projected.
Initially experts predicted there would be 10,000 new COVID-19 cases everyday. Yesterday Dr. Acton said that the stay at home order along with social distancing efforts have "drastically lowered the curve".
