Sunday night Tom Minnock finished the swim the 24 miles across Lake Erie at the age of 54 in 16 hours 44 minutes and 22 seconds.
He started from the Canadian side of Lake Erie and finished at Freeport Beach in North East
A kayak and boat followed him to make sure he was safe and at the final stretch people got in the water to push him along to the finish.
Three other people will try to make this same swim later this Summer
