Oreo decided a few years back to start cranking out whatever random flavors they could think of. And it turns out they're not just doing it because they're in their freshman in college experimental phase.
According to some industry experts, when those random flavors come out, they sell pretty well but traditional Oreos sell even better. Sales of regular Oreos have jumped 22% since they started regularly pumping out new flavors.
They believe it's because the new flavors are basically free advertising for original Oreos and make people remember how much they like Oreos.
