The iconic 90s Dunkaroos snack has returned to store shelves for the first time since 2012 earlier this year and now this treat is taking a new form: cereal! General Mills is bringing Dunkaroos cereal to the market early next year and similar to the original item the sweet, crunchy cereal features vanilla frosting and cookie flavored cereal pieces that are studded with rainbow sprinkles.
Even though the cereal won’t arrive until 2021, junk food Instagram account @candyhunting spotted it on Meijer’s website a little early. The regular size box sells for $4 and the family size will go for a buck more. If you can’t wait for the cereal, there is also a new, limited-edition Dunkaroos sugar cookie dough and frosting.
It’s a ready-to-bake pack with enough dough to make six large or 24 mini cookies and it is paired with Dunkaroos signature vanilla-rainbow sprinkle icing. The Dunkaroos cookies are only available during the holidays for a limited time and you can grab some at Albertson’s, HyVee, Kroger, Wakefern, Walmart or Wegmans.
