Lady A’s decision to drop Antebellum from their name hit a roadblock when it was revealed there is another artist, a 61-year-old African American blues singer, whose real name is Anita White, who goes by that name. Well, now the country Lady A has confirmed that they have reached out to White.
“Today, we connected privately with the artist Lady A. Transparent, honest, and authentic conversations were had,” the group posted on its Instagram. “We are excited to share we are moving forward with positive solutions and common ground. The hurt is turning into hope. More to come.”
Along with the post the group shared a photo of a video chat between the group, Lady A, JohnOliver III of Gleanings Community Bible Church and Mississippi blues artist Dexter Allen.
