Little Big Town’s Kimberly Schlapman has written a children’s book inspired by her fertility struggles and her eventual adoption of daughter Dolly Grace.
“A Dolly For Christmas,” set for release October 6th, tells the story of how her 12-year-old daughter Daisy wrote a letter to Santa asking for a sister. The singer and husband Steven Roads tried for years to conceive naturally before finally adopting Dolly in January, 2017.
Daisy wrote the forward of the book, and Kimberly hopes the book inspires other. She told People.com, “I just want people to be hopeful and to know that if they’re in the middle of a struggle, they are not alone.”
