- Going green- Sustainable weddings are becoming more popular and can include everything from re-purposing ceremony florals to sourcing locally grown food.
- Micro weddings- This trend for tiny nuptials with 40 people or less is on the rise and gives couples the chance to celebrate with a small group of loved ones.
- Mysticism is in- Think spiritually charged vibes like crystals, saging, and even aura photobooths.
- Inclusive menus- Couples are being considerate of their guests who are vegan, have nut allergies, or other food restrictions or preferences.
- Barrettes and combs- Veils are still big for brides, but hair accessories like barrettes and combs, often with pearls and rhinestones, are having a moment.
- Trending hues- At 2020 weddings, we’ll be seeing lots of neo mint - a soft shade of green, cassis - a shade of purple, yellow, and faded denim blue.
- Self-serve refreshments- Not like a cooler full of cold ones, but fancy wall-mounted dispensers and tricked out bars where guests can create their own perfect cocktails.
- To-the-max fashion- More is more with wedding dresses in 2020. Big ball gowns, exaggerated sleeves, as well as embellishments and lace are very in now.
- The cheese hour- Who wouldn’t like to end the evening with a nibble from a table piled high with wheels of cheese, crackers, nuts and fruit?
