Google just came out with an update of their Android software that added hundreds of new emojis, but also updated some old ones, and many are upset that the salad emoji has lost its egg, and they're even angrier at the reason that egg is gone.
Google UX Manager at Expression design team Jennifer Daniel explained why it was done on Twitter.
"There's big talk about inclusion and diversity at Google so if you need any evidence of Google is making this priority may I direct your attention to the [salad] emoji,” adding, "We've removed the egg in Android P beta 2, making this a more inclusive vegan salad.”
