Ohio RV and Boat Show RETURNS to Columbus
The largest and longest running show of its kind in Ohio, hits 42 years!
COLUMBUS, Ohio (Jan. 7-16, 2022) - Since 1981, local Recreational Vehicle (RV) dealers, and Boat dealers have joined forces to showcase everything new and exciting in the camping, boating and outdoor enthusiasts industries.
The past two years have experienced a DRAMATIC increase in outdoor activities because of the pandemic. The trend shows no sign of letting up! Combine this, with the shortage of product, and the demand for Recreational Vehicles and Boats just keeps growing!
The event started as the Ohio Boat and RV Show and included a handful of dealers in just one building at the State Fairgrounds. This group created the COMDA (Central Ohio Marine Dealer Association) and CORVDA (Central Ohio RV Dealers Association) and combined their knowledge of the industry to help consumers find a way to shop during the off-season!
Over the years, the show has grown to over 28 dealers and vendors filling two of the biggest buildings at the same location - The Ohio Expo Center.
Each year, the trends changed and the show adapted. Although boating remained very popular, the sport of RV’ing grew rapidly and soon dominated the event! Then, following consumer demands, the Ohio RV and Boat Show added Golf Cars, Four-wheelers and Motorcycles as products available for visitors to experience.
42-years later, the show continues to adjust and provide the latest models and the most variety of products. Plus now, comfort amenities, conveniences, and technology are leading the list for items desired by attendees.
“Each dealer has worked directly with manufactures to bring all of the newest products with all of the bells and whistles.” says Tim Luckhaupt, show manager. “Every year, I am amazed by what new gadget or gizmo that is added to the boats and RVs, not to mention how incredibly comfortable they have become!” he continued.
The show stays up to date with updates as well through social media including Facebook and Instagram. The show engages new audiences by offering show information, contests for tickets, and discount ticket opportunities.
The 2022 show will run from Friday, January 7th through Sunday January 16th and is open regardless of weather, unless a level 3 snow emergency is enacted. Show dates and hours, as well as tickets pricing and “special” days, are shown below:
