Leaving a eloquent voicemail is becoming a dying art. According to a new book about 21st century etiquette it's actually considered rude to do so.

The book is called, "Kill Reply All: A Modern Guide To Online Etiquette. The author says voicemails are "no purpose for voicemails in the modern age" and "super inefficient and inconvenient". If you call and nobody answers you should hang up and send the person a text message.

Furthermore, she said that calling people spur of the moment is also rude and that you should text someone and ask them if they even want to have a conversation over the phone.
