AT&T Paying $60 Million Settlement For Slowing Down Data

AT&T will pay over $60 million in settlement money after allegations of misleading smartphone users who had an "unlimited" plan and slowing down their data speeds if they went over a certain amount used.

As part of a the settlement, AT&T will not be allowed to advertise the speed or amount of data without disclosing restrictions.

AT&T released a statement saying, “None of these allegations were ever proved in court. We were fully prepared to defend ourselves, but decided settling was in the best interests of consumers.”
