Ashley McBryde reflected on personal stories of growth as she caught up with iHeartRadio’s Wayne D.

McBryde released her 11-track album, Wild, on May 8. She said in a statement when the project made its debut, “the ride it took us on, the process of discovering and creating it. The amount of life that happened since I sang the last note into the mic. None of it came without cost, none of it came without gut-wrenching work. All of it was beautiful and Wild. I hereby release this album into the wild. Go baby go.” She previously said, “when people hear this record, I hope it wakes up the part of them that I’m singing about in ‘Wild’—the part that still believes in those unrealized dreams and untaken risks. I believe that wild little kid is still alive inside of all of us, and that’s the version of everyone that I want to sing to.”

McBryde recently announced her headlining “Into The Wild Tour,” which kicks off on September 10 in Ashland, Kentucky, and runs through December 1 with its final stop in Anaheim, California. See the list of dates below.

“This record, in so many ways, began on the road,” McBryde said when she announced the tour. “Wild is a collection of songs I’ve refused to let go quiet, that have been around for a decade. As well as some brand spanking new songs that were clawing at my guts to get out…and some songs that were running breathlessly into the dark because they knew if they could just get to me, they’d be safe and they’d be heard. This tour breathes life and light to all of them; it brings them to you. I am so grateful that I live a life of music and miles, of stories and songs. I am so grateful that my life purpose is to make sure the songs don’t go unheard. We’ll see you out there.”
