Are you already over the holidays? A new survey found that 35 percent of Americans say they get burned out on the holiday season … before Christmas even gets here. The shopping, cooking, decorating and entertaining all add up to “Festive Burnout” -- which sets in for 36 percent of Americans before mid-December. 17 percent say it sets in before December even starts.

Company holiday parties fizzling out … According to a new survey, Only 65 percent of companies are having a holiday party this year. That’s the lowest rate of partying since 2009, when 62 percent of companies were planning parties, despite dealing with the Great Recession. 49 percent of companies said they would have alcohol at their holiday parties, about the same percentage as last year, but down from 62% in 2016.
“We have never seen so many companies report that they never have holiday parties,” said Andrew Challenger of executive outplacement firm Challenger, Gray and Christmas, which conducted the survey. “The number could be due to several factors,” said Challenger, “including potential liability following the #MeToo movement.” (MarketWatch)
