A Colorado mom is urging parents to be extra cautious after her 3-year-old daughter got stuck inside the family's new washing machine.
Lindsey McIver posted to her Facebook page, saying she and her husband woke up to their son screaming and crying uncontrollably.
They eventually discovered the son was trying to tell them his sister was trapped inside the washer.
Lindsey said the family purchased the new appliance after the old one broke down. As they were installing it, they repeatedly told their kids they weren't supposed to touch it.
But kids are curious, and unfortunately, that landed McIver's 3-year-old daughter in some trouble. She had somehow gotten inside, and when her parents found her, the machine was locked, tumbling and filling with water.
Because of the airtight lock, they could not hear their daughter's screams.
They were able to stop the washer, unlock the door and get her out with only minor bumps and bruises.
