Hillary Scott got “really nostalgic” as she and her Lady A bandmates performed at a festival with Carrie Underwood over the weekend.
The festival made Scott think of the first time the trio ever played a festival with the “Blown Away” powerhouse. Scott shared a throwback photo on Instagram on Monday (June 10) of Lady A with Underwood playing a festival together more than 15 years ago.
Lady A — which also includes Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood — performed before Underwood on Sunday evening (June 9) at Carolina Country Music Fest in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Scott shared one photo of Lady A performing at Carolina Country Music Fest, and on the second slide, she shared another of Lady A with Underwood in 2007. She wrote in her caption: “Last night was so much fun Myrtle Beach! Our set was before [Carrie Underwood] and it made me get really nostalgic about the first time we ever played a festival with her! Swipe to see a bunch of babies in July of 2007!! 💖”
Underwood also posted photos and videos after the festival on Monday. She shared a video of the moment she got caught in a “massive downpour” while she was on stage. The video captures the Underwood performing her smash-hit 2005 anthem, “Before He Cheats,” as the audience sings along to every word. Underwood also posted photos, sharing that the end of the night “was quite unexpected,” though “it made for a night we’ll never forget!”
