Jelly Roll paid tribute to his wife, Bunnie XO, in a heartfelt birthday tribute on Instagram on Monday (January 22). The reigning CMA Awards New Artist of the Year and 2024 Grammy Award nominee hailed Bunnie “my anchor in every area of my life,” in his post about her.
The Whitsitt Chapel star popped the question to his now-wife in 2016 (they met the previous year), and the couple spontaneously got married in a courthouse wedding in Las Vegas that night. The husband-and-wife duo returned to Vegas to renew their vows last year. Bunnie, who is also a podcast host, has since remained a steadfast supporter of her husband’s skyrocketing career for nearly a decade.
“Today we celebrate my wife’s birthday! I have watched this woman grow over the last 8 years in ways I can’t even describe,” Jelly Roll wrote in his birthday tribute to Bunnie. “She is my anchor in every area of my life. She brings a (sense) of peace to every room she walks in. She makes people feel safe. She creates a safe place for people to tell her how they feel. She is special in every way. To know where she came from and what she has made of herself is unbelievable.
“She taught me to not just weather the storm but to dance in the rain. She taught me how to build a deep rooted friendship in our relationship that supersedes everything,” he continued. “My wife is the epitome of ‘sometimes God sends his most unlikely messengers with the biggest message’. She’s playful, funny, loving, caring, charismatic, and strong. My wife is fearless. She is a strong independent woman. I also admire how much she uplifts and empowers other women. Mama Bear I want you to know that I am head over heels in love with you. And somehow every day I wake up a little more in love than I was the day before. I love you so much .. thank you for being the anchor to our family. I love you.”
