Ashlynn Godfrey, from Apple Valley, California, filmed her brave son Nolan - who is named after LA Kings hockey player Jordan Nolan - whacking his tooth out with a hockey stick and a puck.
The clip begins with Nolan standing outside holding a hockey stick, while his tooth is attached to a hockey puck on the floor by a long piece of string.
He was hesitant but after Ashlynn suggests that the boy let his father Korey hit the stick instead, Nolan shows his bravery and smacks the puck, which flies across the floor.
