The two-part HBO Elvis Presley documentary “Elvis Presley: The Searcher,” is set to premiere April 14th, and the soundtrack for that comes out tomorrow, which features alternate versions of some well-known Elvis classics.
Among the new takes on the album is a stripped back version of “Suspicious Minds,” called “Suspicious Minds (Take Six),” which features less horns and some organs.
For the three-hour documentary, Elvis’ estate allowed director Thom Zimmy to delve into their massive vault, which means the documentary includes a lot of unseen footage and music.
The movie also features interviews with Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty and Emmylou Harris, although most of the time you only hear their voices over footage of Elvis.
