Sarahbeth Taite shared adorable photos of her newborn daughter.
The rising country star and former American Idol contestant, 27, welcomed Baby No. 2 with husband Colby Shaw, 33, at 7:28 a.m. on Thursday, January 16. Taite revealed in her post on Instagram on Sunday (January 26) that her daughter’s name is Sophie Claire. She joins big sister Isla, who was born in October 2022.
“She’s here and she is everything 🩷 Sophie Claire Shaw joined us on 1/16 at 7:28 in the morning, and changed us forever,” Taite wrote. “I never knew my heart could hold this much. Our house is infinitely sweeter and big sister is in love with HER ‘baby Sophie.’ We’ve spent the last week in our own little world and I just keep wishing I could stop time. [Colby Shaw] I can’t believe these girls are ours !!!”
Taite first confirmed Baby No. 2’s arrival on her Instagram story on January 19. She confirmed at that time, “she’s here,” and said she was “soaking up every second with her.” A few days before the birth announcement on her Instagram story, Taite shared a glimpse of Sophie Claire’s cozy nursery as she marked the final day of her pregnancy.
