Family’s School Project Paint Survey Goes Viral

The Landreth family recently combined a home improvement project for their Portland, Oregon home with a school project about documenting data for their middle schooler, Grace. They painted five colors on the side of their house and created a QR code for people passing by to scan with their smartphones, which takes them to a Google doc where they can vote for their choice for the house’s new paint color.

They expected some locals to participate, but after a neighbor tweeted a photo of the project, it’s taken off.

The poll has received thousands of entries from over 20 countries around the world.

The shades the Internet users can choose from are: a muted “Rocky Mountain” brown, “Wild Orchid” purple, “In Good Taste” a slate blue, the turquoise “Blessed Blue” and “It’s Well” sky blue.

The poll is still open and you can vote here if you want to get in on the fun.
