It's a Thanksgiving Day tradition for many Americans to wake up and watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.
The aspect most associated with the parade are the huge floats that fly over the city throughout the parade. Over the years we have seen large balloon versions of SpongeBob, Smokey Bear, Snoopy and a bunch more...
Well this year there is a chance that we won't get to see any floats this year. Due to a cold front, the winds might be too strong. Gusts are expected to be up to 40 mph which are too high to fly the balloons.
This would be the first time the balloons will be grounded during the parade since 1971.
