A California man went on a camping trip with his girlfriend and 13 year old son. They got stuck after the river rose faster than they anticipated, and had no cell phone service.
They had to resort to sending a message in a bottle down the river and over a waterfall. The idea was so crazy it worked. They were rescued the next morning.
