Meet Millie Feasel, she’s worked at Zettler Hardware on U. S. 62 near Central Point for more than 60 years.
During that time period, she outlasted eight recessions. She has seen a lot during her tenure. From the United States landing on the moon, to scanning barcodes as a way to enter a price into her cash register.
Her colleagues and customers celebrated her accomplishment on Tuesday. Nothing to do with her loyalty to the company, instead, for her birthday.
Asked her what her secret is to living so long, Millie turned, looked around and point blank said in a curious voice, “No secret that I know of,” and she started laughing.
Customers and coworkers decorated the store with balloons with the numerical 100, cake, and a shiny card to sign. She took those items with her after working a half day.
