Ohio Home pays Tribute to Clark Griswold, Raises Money for Charity

I Love this!  Especially since "Nat'l Lampoons Christmas Vacation" is one of my favorite movies! A home in Wadsworth has put together a Christmas light display that Clark Griswold himself would be proud of.

Homeowner Greg Osterland has dreamed of recreating the Griswold house from “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” ever since he was a child, watching the movie with his family every Christmas Eve.

The inaugural lighting was actually in December of 2013, but special to this year, Clark and Rusty are part of the display.

The home, located at 173 Duane Lane in Wadsworth, will have more than 25,000 Christmas lights on from dusk until 11 p.m. daily through New Year’s Day.

While there is no cost to the public to view the lights, the Osterland household is trying to use the home’s attention to do some good this holiday season.

“We participate in the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Great Strides walk in Akron each May. 100 percent of the donations we collect during the Christmas season goes directly to our Great Strides fundraising,” they said on their Facebook page.

Donations are collected at the home, or by visiting this website.
