Our fearless City leaders are testing a new ticket validation program as a possible solution to the parking woes in the Short North district.
During the six-month pilot program, those who shop at select businesses can have their ticket validated and reducing the price to $1 for the first hour of parking at participating garages.
The program is like the ticket validation program used at the North Market.
According to the Short North Alliance website, the garages where validation is accepted will rotate as will the businesses offering validation.
The program begins April 9 and runs through Oct. 31 with the possibility to expand based on popularity. If only this program couldn't be LONG Term, right?
