American Heart Association's Hear Walk

The Heart Walk will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the Columbus Commons. Festival Area opens at 8:00a.m., with Opening Ceremonies at 9:00a.m. and the Walk kicks-off at 9:30a.m. Walkers can plan to walk a three-mile or one-mile route.

Walkers can pre-register at www.heart.org/centralohwalk or register at the Walk Saturday morning.

The Heart Walk is the American Heart Association’s premiere event for raising funds to save lives from this country’s No. 1 and No. 5 killers – heart disease and stroke. The Heart Walk is designed to promote physical activity and heart-healthy living and creates an environment that’s fun and rewarding for the entire family.

The Heart Walk will be filled with fun family activities that include music, healthy snacks, a kid’s zone with children’s activities, survivor activities, heart-health information, and much more.

• Free health screenings available

• A CPR training will be available throughout the morning to arm participants with the knowledge they need to preform Hands-Only CPR

• General heart-health information will be distributed along with a video played throughout the morning showing the warning signs of a stroke

• A survivor area complete with a tribute wall and survivor caps for all survivors

 All funds raised will support research, education, awareness, and advocacy
