Craftsman Who Dealt with Loss Donates All his Tools & Time

Earlier this year, a group of people in St. Paul, Minnesota, founded a wonderful service called the St. Paul Tool Library, which helps people by making tools available to them instead of books.

They recently put out a call for more tool donations to help the growing number of people using the service and were pleasantly surprised when 78-year-old handyman David Merry stepped forward and donated his entire massive collection of woodworking tools.

But David didn’t just donate his stuff. He’s also continuing to help everyone who comes to the library by also donating his time and expertise.

David explained that there’s no place he’d rather be than a place where people are building and creating.

So almost every day that the tool library is open, David is there, sharing his woodworking knowledge, teaching, encouraging, and helping.
