On Thursday, February 6, 2025, ABC 6 Souper Bowl of Caring Day of Giving, will commence with a live telethon at CAS in Columbus, OH. During this event, ABC 6 and FOX 28 will dedicate segments of live programming and social media content to spotlight food insecurity among school-aged children. Viewers will be invited to call in to donate or through scanning our QR code. ABC 6 and its partners are urging all members of the community to participate in supporting this important cause. Kroger customers can also Round Up at your local store checkout to help benefit Children’s Hunger Alliance.
“CAS believes that strong communities are built on a foundation of strong nutrition”, commented Dr. Michael Dennis, Vice President & Chief Science Officer at CAS. “Partnering with ABC 6 and the Children’s Hunger Alliance is crucial, because everyone deserves access to healthy food. Together, we can create positive change, ensuring no one goes hungry.”
Many people who call Central Ohio home are also voicing their support by taking the time to either appear during the telethon or send their support messages from afar. Support messages for our upcoming campaign have come from: iHeart radio partners 92.3 WCOL and 93.3 The Bus, musical group Bird and Byron, American fitness guru and author Elaine Lalanne, COSI’s Dr. Frederic Bertley, Nationwide Children’s Hospital, and more!
We encourage anyone who wants to help tackle childhood hunger to watch ABC 6 on Feb. 6th and give to the Children’s Hunger Alliance by either calling the number: 614-447-KIDS or scanning the QR Code on the graphic below.
