Good Samaritan Helped Columbus Police Catch A Fleeing Suspect

Police posted on its Facebook page that “Bill” was at a West Columbus library with his granddaughter on April 3 when he heard police sirens.

Bill then looked around and saw a man with his hand in his waistband running toward him and heard officers yelling multiple times to drop the gun. As the officers trailed behind the suspect, “Bill” stuck out a leg and tripped the suspect, which allowed police to catch up and make an arrest.
