A song with a rich history, “Go Tell It On The Mountain,” was originally an African-American spiritual song dating back to the 1800s.
In the hands of folk group Peter, Paul & Mary, it was rewritten as “Tell It On The Mountain” in the 1960s, and addressed the civil rights struggle of the time.
In this new version, Lee Brice wraps his raspy vocals around the familiar song and it's hard not to love it.
“I have been wanting to do my own version of one of my favorite Christmas songs," says Lee Brice. "So excited to have been able to do it over this time at home. Hope folks love it as much as I do.”
