The Creator of the Green Bean Casserole Has Died

Dorcas Reilly is the woman who created a true Thanksgiving classic- green bean casserole.

She came up with it for the Campbell’s Soup Company back in 1955.

The original recipe card was donated to the National Inventors Hall of Fame in 2002.

"Dorcas was an incredible woman, whose legacy will live on for years to come," Campbell's said in a statement. "She will be missed by her Campbell colleagues and all those who were impacted by her creativity and generous spirit."

Reilly passed away back on October 15th from Alzheimer’s disease at the age of 92.
