For The First Time, An NFL Team Will Have Male Cheerleaders

posted by Kayla Hanley -

The Baltimore Ravens and the Indianapolis Colts have men on the squad who perform stunts with female cheerleaders, but this is the first time male cheerleaders will dance as well.

Quinton Peron and Napoleon Jinnies were among the 76 finalists chosen for the 40-person squad for the L.A. Rams. Jinnies said the auditions were unlike any he's ever been through before.

"This one was about three weeks long and we had a bunch of rehearsals in between and an extensive interview process, but it was really humbling and amazing to be invited every time you came back," he said in an interview with USA Today.

Here is a photo of them with their captain Emily.

Thank you for having us on, @goodmorningamerica! Can’t wait to get started with this historic team! 🎉
