Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson recently paid it forward and surprised a lifelong friend who took him in as a teen. In a heartwarming Instagram video, he recalled being homeless at 15 after he and his mom were evicted from their home in Hawaii. Thankfully Bruno Lauer, a former wrestling manager, gave him a place stay.
“Bruno could've (and should've) said hell no, I'm not takin' in some kid who I don't know. But he didn't. He took this punk kid in and we became lifelong friends,” Rock shared. Since Bruno also helped him get his first car - with his last $40 - Johnson decided to return the favor by gifting his friend with a brand new Ford F-150.
“Your kindness and heart - helped change my life’s trajectory,” The Rock said. “And when you’re ready to retire from 'the business,' you just say the word.” What's that mean? We're not sure, but when The Rock says "I've got you covered," we're betting Lauer won't have to worry about a darn thing ever again.
