A state representative from Vermont has purposed a bill that will allow residents to customize their license plates.
If this bill passes, Vermont will be the first state to allow emojis on license plates.
Representative Rebecca White got the idea for the bill from one of her constituents, who cited a similar bill that's passing in Queensland, Australia in 2019, making it the first city in the world to allow emojis on license plates.
