Morgan Shares Her Itinerary & Details After Road Tripping To 8 NE States

Morgan spent some of her two-week vacation road tripping in the Northeast and her itinerary took her, her boyfriend, and their dogs to 8 different states in 6 days. If listeners have ever wanted to see the Northeast and venture to some popular spots, this is the itinerary to follow. They stopped in Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, and New York. Everything they did was super dog friendly since they brought their dogs along for the trip.

Their road trip started out with them going from Nashville driving 10 hours to Washington, D.C on Sunday. That stop had them in the city for 2 nights and 1 full day. There they went to popular monuments like the Lincoln Memorial, Thomas Jefferson Memorial, The Washington Monument, and The National Mall, as well as other sights like The Capitol and The White House. Some of the restaurants they ate while in town include Call Your Mother Deli, Founding Fathers, Georgetown Cupcake, and Thomas Sweet.

Next up, they left Tuesday morning from Washington, D.C. and made some pit stops in Annapolis, Maryland and Wilmington, Delaware, spending a few hours in each. In Annapolis they walked through the downtown district and stopped at Salty Paws for a cold treat for their dogs. Then in Wilmington, Delaware they walked on the Brandywine Creek for the scenery.

They then headed a few hours to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for the night and the next day. In Philly, they went to see the Rocky statue and run up the famous steps before having dinner at Pat's King of Steaks where Morgan had cheese fries and her boyfriend tried the well-known cheesesteak. Before heading out of Philly Wednesday afternoon, they stopped at Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, and the love sign.

Wednesday afternoon they headed a couple hours to Portland, Maine, the main destination for their trip. They spent 2 nights and 1.5 days exploring the city. They spent some of their time at the district near the water where they ate at spots like Portland Lobster Company, Gross Confection Bar, Marcy's Diner, and had potato donuts at the Holy Donut. They spent some time at the Portland Head Light and ferried over to Peaks Island where they rented bikes and rode around the island for a few hours. The other evening they went to Old Orchard Beach Pier for the amusement park and night time beach experience.

After leaving on Friday from Maine to start making their way back to Nashville, Morgan and her boyfriend made some pit stops in New Hampshire at Winslow State Park, and Vermont to see the Quechee Gorge. Both pit stops were great scenic spots and perfect outdoor explorations.

They drove overnight to continue on their way back to Nashville when they realized they were 20 minutes from the New York side of Niagara Falls. So naturally they had to make that the last stop before officially heading back home. They didn't do any of the experiences at Niagara Falls, but they did see each separate waterfall for some epic photos. Yes, Niagara Falls is dog friendly if you just want to walk and see it!
