Maren Morris & Ryan Hurd Made Sparks Fly With Romantic Duet At ACM Awards

Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd delivered a romantic performance of their heartfelt duet at the 2021 ACM Awards.

Tonight (April 18), the real-life country music lovebirds fell in love all over again during their intimate rendition of their song “Chasing After You.” Performing their collaboration live for the first time from The Ryman Auditorium, the married couple made sparks fly as Hurd and Morris gazed into each other’s eyes while belting out the words to their beautiful ballad on a golden and angelic stage design.

On the loving chorus, the pair sang in harmony: "But I know, yeah I know it's a matter of time / 'Till you walk, 'till you walk back out of my life / Leave me standing here lonely feeling like a fool / Every time, every time you say we're done / You come back to the love you werе running from / Don't know why, don't know why I let you but I do / Guess I love chasing aftеr you"

“We’re getting to debut our first duet that we did together on the ACM Awards,” the “Middle” superstar said ahead of tonight’s presentation. “It’s the first thing we’ve gotten to do together television-wise. We’re really blessed to have a musical moment together.”

At this year’s 56th ACM Awards, Morris is leading the pack in nominations, with six in total, including Female Artist of the Year, Single of the Year (“The Bones”), Video of the Year (“Better Than We Found It”), and Group of the Year (The Highwomen).

As yet, the country songbird has already claimed her first trophy of the evening with her smash hit song “The Bones” winning Song of the Year.
