Kip Moore's Song "Southpaw" Is Inspired By His Dad Being A Boxing Fan

Kip Moore's "Southpaw" song came from him being annoyed with today's society and how it's become too "vanity-ridden."

"I'd seen a few things on the news, and on social media and [was] frustrated with the way that society and humanity is moving in the wrong direction."

Even the song's title came from a different place. "Being a kid, my dad was a huge, huge boxing fan and he turned me on to boxing at an early age. He was showing me a lot of old, classic fights.

And from there he became a huge boxing fan.
