Vegas Shooting Survivor Honors Victims at Spring Training

Bubba Derby will always remember the 58 victims who died in the mass shooting at Route 91 Harvest festival.

The 23 year old survived the massacre last October in Las Vegas and plans to honor those who weren’t as lucky as he enters spring training with the Milwaukee Brewers.

According to TMZ, Derby will wear a glove with “58 strong” inscribed on it to honor each of the people who died when a gunman opened fire over the crowd of 20,000 at the county music festival.

“They will never be forgotten,” the pitcher tells the site.

During the shooting, the Major League Baseball prospect used his body to shield two women in the crowd from incoming bullets.

He adds he plans to wear the glove for the 2018 season and every season after.
