A California grandmother names Tonya Ruiz is getting very craft with her “quarantine Barbies” that are going viral on social media.
She started making her Barbie parodies as something fun to do with her granddaughters. She had them pick out Barbies that look like realistic members of their family and they would dress them up with different props and post them on Instagram for fun.
When the coronavirus hit, she made quarantine Barbies that show what life is like for a lot of us these days.
Her first was “Curvy Barbie in stretchy pants” and binge watch Barbie followed, then bread baking Barbie, Zoom Ken, and other funny Barbies, as well as a health care hero Barbie.
