The run on toilet paper and hand sanitizer has gotten so bad that at least one amusement park in the U.K. has replaced the prizes in its claw machines with the sold-out items.
Rob Braddick, who owns Braddick's Holiday Park in Devon, England, has removed the "Frozen 2" and "Peter Rabbit" toys from his claw machines, replacing them with the difficult-to-find personal care products. Customers pay 65 cents for a shot at grabbing a roll of toilet paper, and $1.30 for a chance to pick up some hand sanitizer.
Rob insists he's not taking advantage of the situation; instead, he's attempting to bring a little levity to it. "It's a bit of light relief with everything that's going on," he says. "Hopefully it will raise a smile, which I think everybody needs."
