Women have all had some awkward encounters with neighbors, coworkers or friends when trying to buy a pregnancy test.
It happened to Cynthia Plotch, but it was even worse - she ran into her boyfriend’s mom when shopping for a pregnancy test. She called her friend, Jamie Norwood in tears after the encounter and they discussed how the system was broken, but they were the ones who could fix it.
The women then came up with the company: Stix. It’s a direct-to-consumer home pregnancy test company that sends the tests to your door. They come in a two-pack, are FDA-approved and more than 99% accurate, the same as tests like Clearblue and First Response that you buy at the store.
The tests are packaged in paper pouches and come in mail slot-sized envelopes, with no return labels, so they’re looking out for your privacy.
