Chris Lane and Lauren Bushnell are engaged!
He popped the question on Sunday in the backyard of her family's home in Oregon, but it wasn't your ordinary proposal. He played a song he'd written for her with the proposal in the lyrics.
Chris tells People, “When I got to the third verse of the song and knew it was time, I pretty much blacked out. The next thing I knew, she said ‘yes’ and the nerves just lifted! It’s an explosion of excitement, pure joy, and love.”
Right before the proposal, Chris stepped in fresh dog poop in his bare feet and he proposed with a 3.5-carat emerald-cut ring.
Chris and Lauren have been dating since last fall.
