A nine-year-old girl near Boston named Shailyn Ryan was eating lunch at school last week, when her best friend Keira Silvia started choking on a hot dog.
Luckily she'd learned the Heimlich maneuver the day before at the Northboro Recreation Center where she takes part in a program called Home Alone Safety.
This lesson saved her friends life.
