iHeartradio Music Awards = Ratings Home Run

 

Radio trade publication Inside Radio is reporting today on last nights iHeartradio Music Awards

iHeart Awards score big for NBC.

"NBC-TV has got to be happy with how Clear Channel’s first-ever iHeartRadio Awards pulled in an audience. With lots of radio promotion giving the program a tailwind, the awards show even beat American Idol on Fox-TV. It was also good enough to tie NBC’s best non-Olympics or Sound of Music Live! Thursday night this season. Nielsen says the iHeart Awards had a 1.7 share in the key 18-49 demo, drawing a total of 5.4 million viewers during the three-hour broadcast. That was good for a No. 2 finish overall – although the show tied for No. 1 during the final hour led by viewers in the 18-34 demo."
