Yep, love amarone wine so much, years ago~ I bottled my own! Have always liked reptiles.... so for a label photo~ I grabbed my yellow anaconda, to call it "Andy's Anaconda Amarone" ...... I'll try to save a bottle for the Recreation Unlimited Wine Tasting friday night!
Grapes harvested for AMARONE WINE are chosen from bunches having fruits not too close to each other, to let air flow. The name Amarone, in Italian, means 'the great bitter' .....open it a few years after it's bottled and you end up with a deep ruby red wine with a spicy, earthy bittersweet finish. It goes great with intensely flavored roasts or pasta with rich meat sause.
