The holiday season might be the toughest time to keep up with healthy eating and diets. Most of us have multiple dinners to go to and we all have that family member who makes our favorite guilty pleasure to eat.

According to a recent survey, a lot of us take a break from our diets during the holiday season. 41% of us use this time of a year as an excuse to not healthy, we postpone our healthy eating until the new year.

The top foods we break our diet for are cookies, pie, cake and obviously those home cooked holiday meals. The average American will gain 6.5 pounds between Thanksgiving and the new year.
