A recent survey found that over 40% of plastic surgeons say they are seeing more and more patients requesting procedures because they want to look better in selfies on Instagram, Snapchat, and Facebook. Really? All from Social Media sites?! I'm all for improving yourself but I can't imagine going into the Doc to spend thousands so I can take better selfies, then again, who am I to judge!?
Overall, the number of procedures has increased 115% since 2000, but it’s not a lot of big surgeries. Instead, people are opting for nonsurgical stuff like lip fillers (à la Kylie Jenner). (Market Watch)
